Burnout is recognized by the WHO as an occupational phenomenon. It shows up as persistent exhaustion, cynicism/detachment and feelings of inefficacy.
Early signs include: fatigue unrelieved by rest, difficulty "switching off" from work, insomnia, irritability and loss of motivation.
Early intervention reduces the risk of worsening symptoms. In therapy, we assess workload, boundaries, perfectionism patterns and recovery.
Seeking help is not a sign of weakness — it is a fundamental step towards recovery.
